在一月的期中考之前，老師給每位學生建言與成績預測。

五、六月的期末考前，懷玉又收到這樣一封寄到家裡的信。

期中考只考歷史和心理學，妹妹都得A，

期末考，她對這兩科相對有自信，

但「電影研究」成績，老師預測是A，

這讓妹妹一方面驚喜，一方面也有些壓力。

妹妹平常很少看電影，去到英國才第一次接觸這個主題，

而這一科內容多、考試範圍最廣（一學年才考一次），且平常作業練習較少，

考試同樣是問答題，三個小時內交卷，

妹妹早有心理準備，會寫到手紅腫……。

感謝老師看到懷玉的學習態度，對她的能力多所肯定。

我也跟懷玉說：你一直很用心，你值得這些讚美……。

All January exam, target, and predictive grades are A.

Film Studies

Andi, you continue to make an excellent effort this year and made good progress in Film. Well done. In class you are still quiet at times, but make positive contributions to discussions when asked and always complete work to the best of your ability.

You have completed and handed in your coursework for the FM1 unit and now need to shift your focus to the FM2 exam in May. You always hand in work on time and have achieved grade A/B for your past paper questions. You can use the feedback on these to ensure you always get the highest grades in your answers.

Overall, a very good year. Keep up the hard work and commitment for the next few weeks in order to hit your target grade. I think you are capable for an A.

History

I was very pleased with your January exam result and it is indicative of your ability in this subject and your hard work.

You continue to work well in class, remaining focused and engaged throughout. Your written work is consistently produced to a good standard and I am confident that, with practice and revision, it will continue to improve.

You have a very positive attitude towards learning and your commitment cannot be faulted. I am sure you will undertake a thorough revision programme and do well in the summer exam.

Psychology

Andi, you have continued to make good progress in Psychology and were rewarded with an outstanding grade in the January exam. Your assignments are consistently excellent and I expect you to attain a very good overall grade. You have developed an excellent understanding of psychological theories and concepts and the amount of effort you put into your studies is very impressive.

Continue revising your notes each week and read around the subjects we cover outside the classroom to maximize your potential.
